Ferrari vs Maserati in '99

Ferrari Club racers have thrown down the gauntlet to Maserati owners with the invitation to compete in the high-profile Shell Historical Challenge series for the first time. Pre-War Scuderia Ferrari Alfa Romeos remain eligible.

In anticipation of a strong response from enthusiasts wishing to brandish the Trident at the Prancing Horse, the entry will be split into three grids, where practicable, to avoid the speed and braking disparities of which drivers have previously complained. Italian car fans in Britain will be able to see the series at Silverstone’s Coys Festival. Other fixtures are as per the MOTOR SPORT Historic Racing calendar, with the exception of the finale, to be run in Italy (possibly Vallelunga) on November 6.
