With another veteran car Brighton Run on the way, it
is amusing to recall that a race for ‘veterans’ was held at the Southport Sand races in1930. The Autocor rather unkindly said the result was of no consequence: the runners were two 1902 de Dions, al903 Riley tricar and a 1905 Riley.
