The ‘Soundtrack’ to Motor Racing’s Formative Years

This CD charts the history of motor racing from 1900 through to the late 1920s, with engine noises. Lord Montagu provides an extremely technical analysis of the cars featured and leads you from tickover to ‘at speed’ exhaust notes. Apart from feeling slightly ridiculous listening to 40 minutes of car sounds, perhaps the most telling part was when iTunes said that the genre of the CD was “Gospel and Religious”. If the dulcet tones of a 21-litre Benz aren’t for you then you’ll be pleased to hear that if you are not 100 per cent satisfied Duke will replace or refund you within 30 days of purchase. EF
