July 7, 2014

The Jaguar that will bring the historic marque back to the Le Mans 24 Hours is on course to race on British soil later this year.

Paul Gentilozzi’s RSR team, which will field its XKR GT2 racer at Le Mans this month, has announced its intention to compete in the new-for-2010 Intercontinental Le Mans Cup. This means the car will be on the grid for the Silverstone 1000Kms round of the Le Mans Series on September 12.

Gentilozzi said his team would “very much like to do the Intercontinental Cup”. He added that he had made the necessary requests to series organiser the Automobile Club de l’Ouest.
