Masters run for Hulme McLaren

July 7, 2014

The return to Europe of the ex-Denis Hulme McLaren M23 will be one of the highlights of the Masters Festival at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit on May 25/26.

Now owned and raced by New Zealander Phil Mauger, the M23 took victory in Sweden in 1973 (left) and was given to Hulme upon his retirement from Formula 1. Mauger has restored the car and is now shipping it to Europe for the summer. After a Top Hat race meeting on the Brands Indy circuit on Saturday, the full range of Masters series will tackle the Grand Prix circuit on Sunday and Monday, with HGPCA races sharing top billing.
