Road America wins NASCAR slot

July 7, 2014

NASCAR is returning to Road America after an absence of 44 years.

Rounds of the second-tier Nationwide and World Truck series will take place at the famous road course in Wisconsin on June 19. They have replaced races set for the Milwaukee oval.

The only previous NASCAR event at the Elkhart Lake venue, a top-tier Cup race, was won by Tim Flock in 1956.
