Live TV for historic meeting

July 7, 2014

In what is thought to be a European first for a classic meeting, the entire race programme at the Silverstone Classic will be broadcast live on Motors TV.

Coverage will start at 9am each day, running without a break other than a 90-minute slot on Sunday for coverage of the Nürburgring DTM race. Silverstone races run during that break will be broadcast later in the day.

Frédéric Viger of Motors TV said: “As soon as we started discussions it became evident that we had to show the full event live. We’ll be able to offer viewers not only the racing, but also the atmosphere between the races.”

He is as at home in the paddock at Brands Hatch as in a Welsh forest or at Shelsley Walsh.
