Italian series scoops Silverstone date

The Italian Historic Car Cup has taken over the World Sportscar Masters’ prominent Saturday evening slot for this year’s Silverstone Classic.

“We expect the race to be heavily over-subscribed,” said Vanessa Marcais when asked about the IHCC round. The field will include examples of the Ferrari 512M, 312PB and Alfa Romeo T33.

Silverstone Classic organisers will run 23 races over the weekend of July 24/25 following qualifying on the Friday. Pre-61, Pre-66 and Masters F1 races are the headline single-seater events, while other notable races include World Sportscar Masters, Pre-63 GT Cars and the Sir Stirling Moss Trophy for ’50s sports cars.
