Liverpool adopts Pageant of Power

July 7, 2014

Formula 1, Le Mans and supercars will be in action on the evening of Tuesday May 25 during the inaugural Liverpool Pageant of Power.

A street demonstration, which will run on a course along the Strand and finish at the Liver Building, aims to draw visitors to the city and promote the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power, which takes place on July 17/18.

To mirror Cholmondeley, the Liverpool event will feature powerboats in the adjacent docks and aerobatic displays above the Mersey. Organisers hope to have a Silk Cut Jaguar Group C Le Mans car and a Bentley Speed 8 in a field of around 20 competition cars.

He has organised, competed in and marshalled on scores of events, and has written about the subject for 20 years. He is as at home in the paddock at Brands Hatch as in a Welsh forest or at Shelsley Walsh.
