Brian Lister and the cars from Cambridge
Paul Skilleter

In technical terms this book much augments Robert Edwards’ Archie and the Listers, with comprehensive details of the cars, describing how the first special became a successful customer design backing up the impressive factory effort with the remarkable Scott Brown. Lister-Jags won and won in the ’50s, and are still winning in historics, also covered here, as are the reborn 1980s Listers.

Extensive input from Brian Lister and unseen photos from team members plus much documentation and chassis listing make this very complete, while Lister’s personal scrapbook is a colourful extra – especially photos of him playing drums in The Down Beats! GC

Bravely ignoring his degree in industrial design after discovering night rallies in a Renault 8, GC joined Motor Sport by accident, in the Teesdale days around 1982 when Jenks and WB were office regulars and Mr Tee ruled with a rod of cardboard. He took part in some of the early historic rallies, winning one of the Pirelli Marathons, and regularly runs his Mk2 Jaguar in road events.
