David McKinney

December 17, 2014

Respected writer and historian David McKinney has died following a lengthy period of illness. He was 68. Born in New Zealand, David had been based in Britain since the mid 1980s and contributed to a wide number of publications. He also wrote the definitive Maserati 250F history, which unravelled many a mystery surrounding individual cars’ identities. He will be remembered fondly for his no-nonsense approach, attention to detail, generous spirit and unfailingly good company.

Paul Lawrence

Here is a man who goes racing every weekend from March to October. Paul’s passion for the sport goes back to when he was a child of the 1960s. He has organised, competed in and marshalled on scores of events, and has written about the subject for 20 years. He is as at home in the paddock at Brands Hatch as in a Welsh forest or at Shelsley Walsh.
