Miller has already scored two wins this season

Jack Miller will remain at Ducati Corse for the 2022 MotoGP season. The team has announced a new contract extension to the end of next year, following the Australian’s two victories in the first five races of this season.
The 26-year-old signed his deal in May last season that included an optional extension clause for the 2022 season that Ducati has now exercised.
Miller scored his first MotoGP win in the dry of his career at Jerez earlier in the month and followed it up with a dry-to-wet weather win at Le Mans to put himself back into contention for the 2022 title.
Ducati moved both of its current riders from the Pramac Ducati team last season. Pecco Bagnaia signed on a two-year deal and is the higher-placed Ducati rider but is yet to take a win this season.

“I am thrilled to be able to continue my adventure with the Ducati Lenovo Team also next season!” Miller said.
“Wearing these colours is a great honour for me, and having been able to win the last two races on the Desmosedici GP is a real dream! It wouldn’t have been possible without the great support that I’ve received from Ducati and the whole team during the last months, and I want to thank Gigi, Paolo, Davide, and Claudio for the faith they had in me.
“Now I can solely concentrate on the current season. We are fourth in the standings, not far from the leader, and the Championship is still very long. I will do my best to continue this positive trend and fight for the title. Forza Ducati!”
After Miller’s back-to-back wins, he is now just 16 points off of championship leader Fabio Quartararo after starting the season with two ninth-place finishes and a DNF following a crash in Portugal.

Miller’s Jerez win came after Quartararo was hit by arm pump mid-race and he bounced back from two long-lap penalties to win at Le Mans to jump back up to fourth in the riders’ standings.
“We are delighted to be able to announce that we will continue with Miller also in 2022,” Ducati Corse General Manager Luigi Dall’Igna said.
In this first season, Jack has shown great talent, professionalism, and strong determination. He was able to secure two important victories in different conditions after a tough start to the season.
“For sure, he is one of the riders that better knows how to understand our Desmosedici GP to fully take advantage of its potential in any condition, as the recent success in Le Mans has demonstrated.
“As always, our goal remains the Championship title, and we believe that with Jack and Pecco, we will be among the main protagonists of the 2022 title charge.”
