Williams has unveiled its new 2021 F1 car, the FW43B.
The car was originally intended to be launched in augmented reality via a bespoke app, but this had to be cancelled after the app was hacked and images were leaked.
Williams will be hoping to build on its 2020 championship performance. Though it finished last in the constructor standings for the second year running, the car’s pace was actually much improved as they closed up to the midfield pack.
This year will see the team start its first full season without the Williams family at the helm.
It announced at last year’s Italian Grand Prix that the founder Frank Williams, his daughter Claire, the deputy team principal, and the family were selling the team to American investment firm Dorilton Capital, ending the family’s five-decade involvement in motor sport.
