The non-championship 1960 Buenos Aires Grand Prix was moved 440 miles northwest to Parque Sarmiento in central Córdoba. Stirling Moss and Scuderia Ferrari did not appear much to the chagrin of the organisers. Of the 16 cars that did start, Maurice Trintignant (Rob Walker Cooper T51-Climax) survived the intense heat and crumbling road to pass Dan Gurney’s BRM P25 and win. The temporary parkland course was used for a Temporada Formula 3 race in 1964, won by Silvio Moser as he went unbeaten in the four-race series.
