…and we want these Automobilist artworks on the Motor Sport office’s walls
As today is Michael Schumacher’s 50th birthday, we’re fully caught up in Schumacher fever. These prints from Automobilist celebrate his first championship win with Ferrari, at Suzuka in 2000, and proceeds go to the Keep Fighting Foundation.
Using 3D modelling and digital photography, the prints took months to make, according to Automobilist, and celebrate his first title win with Ferrari and the team’s first drivers’ championship win since Jody Scheckter’s 1979 triumph – 21 years previously.
The artists actually scanned Schumacher’s F1-2000 car and his helmet at the Michael Schumacher exhibition in Motorworld, Cologne.
Each of the five posters depicting a scene from Suzuka in 2000 has a unique number, and we think they’ll look splendid in the Motor Sport offices.
And a portion of each sale goes to the Keep Fighting Foundation, a charity set up in Schumacher’s honour to champion various causes around the world. Buy them here.
